Who can join?
Any registered Democrat in the state of California who subscribes to DWEDC’s mission is eligible for membership in DWEDC irrespective of age, disability, economic status, gender, national origin, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
DWEDC is dedicated to helping to elect Democrats to all offices, especially electing local candidates to office in El Dorado County. DWEDC promotes social and economic policies that reflect the priorities of women. We do this by educating members and the general public on women’s issues; increasing political awareness – both within the membership and in the general public; increasing political participation of women in our community; recruiting women of all ages to become DWEDC members; and raising money for women’s issues and causes.
Democrats believe that each of us has an obligation to each other, to our neighbors and our communities. Each of us has a role to play in creating our future — and while we have made great progress as a nation, we know that our work is never done.
We are an all-volunteer group.

Join us for homemade treats and festive beverages!
Whether you're a long-time member or new to DWEDC, join us to connect with new friends, have fun, and make new holiday memories.

This year, The Democratic Women of El Dorado County (DWEDC) are sponsoring a campaign to raise funds for La proMesa Familiar. La proMesa Familiar is an El Dorado County community-based collective that support mutual aid efforts for individuals struggling to provide food for their families and gives access to resources, education and training. La proMesa provides food to over 100 multi-generational family households every two weeks. About 450-500 people directly benefit from La proMesa. During harvest months, the proMesa community harvests produce for the pantry, and for their individual families on off weeks.
DWEDC will match your generous donations, up to a total of $500.00!
Our goal is to donate $1000.00
This campaign will run until December 20, 2025
Forward to your friends and family and ask them to please give!
